Where We Are Now
Baxter Boots prides itself on old-time quality standards. Although several modern styles of footwear and new materials are now available, and the harsh bush environment is no longer an everyday battle, we still expect our boots to perform just as our founder Henry Baxter insisted – with tough quality and handcrafted attention to detail.
Dress boots are still made by the traditional method in the Goulburn factory. Although some of our range including Work Boots is imported, Baxter ensures they are made to Australian design and from Australian leather. All boots comply with Australian Standards and must pass the Australian Quality Inspection prior to release.
Following in the Baxter tradition, our factory supplied some of the boots used in the Baz Luhrmann film “Australia” which was released in November 2008.
Although the Baxter story is not as well known as some, we’ve been through it all and are continuing a tradition that is four generations old.
